Dr. Evans’ areas of special interest within the field of urology include prostate cancer, male infertility, incontinence, and prosthetic surgery.
James D. Borden, M.D., FACS
Dr. Borden provides physician leadership to the community by serving on the Medical Staff Executive Committee of Lee Health Systems for over 15 years.
He has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, as a member of the Lee County Hospital Board and has completed two terms as President of the Medical Staff.
Dr. Borden’s areas of expertise include prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer, kidney stone disease, male and female urinary incontinence (urgency, frequency, and infection), impotence/erectile dysfunction and vasectomies.
Paul R. Bretton, M.D., FACS
Dr. Bretton is certified by the American Board of Urology. He has been selected to Best Doctors in America every year since 1996.
Dr. Bretton’s area of special interest within urology lies in urologic cancer, minimally invasive surgery and Robotic Assisted Laparascopic Radical Prostatectomy.
Jasper J. Rizzo, D.O., FACOS
He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in Urology and is a Fellow of theAmerican College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. Rizzo joined Southwest Florida Urologic Associates in 1993. His areas of special interest lie in female urology, urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction.
Michael G. Strickland, D.O.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the Lee County Medical Society, and the Lee County Osteopathic Society. He serves as a Specialty Board Proctor for the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at UMDNJ Resident Training Program.
Dr. Strickland’s areas of special interest in Urology are genitourinary oncologic surgery, urinary incontinence, urinary calculus disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia, impotence and general urology.
Blake J. Evans, M.D.
Dr. Evans then returned to Gainesville, Florida and completed his internship and residency training a the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in 2013.
Dr. Evans is affiliated with the American Urological Association and also the Florida Urological Society. Dr. Evans’ areas of special interest include robotic surgery, urologic oncology, stone disease, female urology, prosthetics and voiding dysfunction. Dr. Evans is a third-generation urologist, following his father, Dr. William Evans, and grandfather, Dr. Arthur Evans.
